Thank you for your walk around. The Stainless bench top is something I have been toying with for a while; my bench has a perspex sheet screwed on top. Lasted twenty years but chips, scratches and brake cleaner melts it. 😢
You missed out on the decanter with single malt Scotch. Btw, love your magazine!
Which one is the biggest both in size and inside comfort for a tall guy?
Tim, hier ist Steffen. These are useful tips. The essential point is keep things organized. See you in the Finger Lakes in July.
As a porsche owner it sounds like you are due for a valve adjustment.
My Firs car was a 57 Austin Healy , My second car was a 64XKE ragtop, Then I got a 71 LT1 Vet Now I have a 66 C2 . The Jag was my Fav.
My old Boss 302 Trans-Am raced by Bill Elliott in vintage events.
Good information. I have owned many Alfas. It's 'Speeka' not 'Spika'.
Reason #6. Since 1966, this is the simplified version of the Ferrari 330 GTS. Put both cars next to each other, you can see with the naked eye that they are almost same car. Even despite the breakdown of cooperation in 1946, Commendatore maintained friendly relations with the AR bosses. And periodically helped his former employers. According to rumors, it was his engineers who created the light version of the 330 GTS for AR But on several conditions. 1. No one should know that this car is originally from Maranello. Even relatives and friends of the employees who created the new Spider tried to remain silent; 2. No powerful engines. The maximum that Drake allowed was a 2-liter engine, also developed by Maranello engineers. Initially, 2.0 was intended only for the North American market. In Europe they wanted to produce and sell only 1.3, 1.5 and 1.7-liter versions. The only ones created by AR engineers. Everything else in the Spider, including the 2-liter engine and chassis, was created in Maranello; 3. No sports. If the 330 GTS was a true knight of sports roads, then the Spider should be its picnic, pleasure version; 4. Dimensions. The Spider is not only less powerful than its senior brother, but also more 'urban' and compact
Air cool life 😎
I had a 1970 twin dell’orto 1750 kamm tail. I now have a 1969 spica round tail. Lovely cars
I currently own (20+ Years) and absolutely love everything about my 83 Rabbit GTI. As mentioned in the video it’s definitely an attention getter every where I go. The car never disappoints in sparking fantastic conversations and trips down memory lane. I spend most of my time at car gatherings answering questions and meeting new friends.
Thanks for sharing!
Apparently the first car to drive across South America was a Napier driven from Buenos Aires, I guess over the Andes somehow. I would love to find more on this story as it was driven by a relative.
I was in a jam and needed a quick explanation and he nailed it, thank you so much
Glad it helped!
Had the 84 red one! My first owned car after using my parents’ 77 (or 79?) rabbit, initially. Great memories
Very cool!
Considering buying one. Searching info. Thanks.
Glad we could help
The TR6 was and still is one of the best looking ever. These were always two of my favorites.
This very perfect excellent old car!
Sorry , the 1967 was the last true Vette ever built.
I have that Alfa since 25 years and every time i open the garage door it takes my breath away
My wife's grandfather, Frank Newton, raced the original at Brooklands. We have a mangled bit of metal presented to him, inscribed by 'E Dept of the Napier Motor Works' celebrating the Napier-FIAT match of August 3rd 1908. A Certificate from the Clerk of the Course notifies Frank that he lapped the circuit at 113.01mph on Whit Monday of that year in another race against the FIATs.
Good points but I rather have a 944/968 or if I was rich, the 928. "Dodges multiplie spanner thrown at me"
During the 1970s-1980s I had owned Fiat 124 Spiders, Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce and others. Back then, the English sports cars always had electrical problems. At least the Italian sports cars always look Great going down the road!
Very cool cars and cool mods but the proper comparison would be a stock 1984 318 (m10 engine) against a stock 1984 rabbit gti. I think the e30 would have a slight edge on hp but it would be a bit closer
Beyond a lot of little steps left out especially with a Mig! A lot of False hope in this video!
Only problem with that car, ITS NOT MINE.!! Been a lot of years since I had my last MGB. That one would bring me back to the fold. lol.
Excellent.
Yes, those I had those posters too!😅
I bought a 74 that was converted to Dellortos by a previous owner. It's been parked for 10 years, but was covered and stored dry. Hoping to get her running.....as soon as I replace the gas tank....and fuel lines...and rebuild the carbs...and....
I like the 66 with the 427
WOW, I AM HAPPY TO HAVE FOUND THIS VIDEO & CHANNEL. I may be in the market for a classic car/s lol, your tips are insanely informative & thought-provoking.
Thanks for watching!
fiberglass is quarter inch thick
Great teacher🎉
There goes the seat bolsters :(
overall very useless video. didn't show how the metal was cut, bent and the final rsult.
1970 Cadillac coupe deville the want $2500 for rear bumper! No sir I’ll do this first haha thanks for the vid
I had a deep blue die cast toy one in 1963 and I have always loved the C2. I'm English and could never afford an E-Type. The Stingray is my favourite American sports car, did they make any post '65 with RHD?
The last mechanical car in the BMW M3 E46 which I just acquired =D
This looks like tree he Ormond Loop is that where you were driving at the end of the video? I may be selling a 1977 and a 1988!
NO
does anyone recognize the insanity of the logic of identifying as caretaker for perishable commodity but neglecting responsibility for the natural world? the automobile is a scourge of humanity
Why???
The diesel truck that delivers your trinkets off Amazon does more harm than a classic car that gets several thousand miles per year at most.
Nice hammer and sickle, the symbol most representative of repression of the human spirit and many many lives lost due to disobedience.
@@rdargenio 9/11 was a demonstration of what rest of world thinks of USA. justifiable universal hatred. you're delusional
you're doing no favors to your cause, which is also a lost one. turns out being insufferable and sanctimonious doesn't change minds.
I want to buy something classic. I want to be a mechanic so I don't think I will have trouble to fix it. I want to look from 1955 to 2005. I found a Dodge Regent from 1957 that I fall in love with. But I don't think I will have money to buy parts for it and it will sit and slowly die. Also I'm not sure how good an old car will drive in cold Canada winters, also rust, and old cars how I know have veey bad gas mileage. My dad suggest me to buy a SUV but I don't like SUV so much, they are soulless for me. I don't know what to do.
You are a natural teacher. Thanks for the simple instructions that you show for using a complex tool. Bravo!
Fat men do not like the smallish Tiger since it is too uncomfortable for them.
is there a way to remove small dents on chrome? It's like a nail mark size?
An engine rebuild at 130k miles on such a low HP car is OK? That’s laughable. Stop, making up excuse . I love them too, but let’s get serious. How much is an engine rebuilt on these ?
The engines on these car routinely go about 150k miles or more on a top end. A top end, pistons, cylinders, and heads runs around 10 to 12k. A full split case rebuild could cost as much as 20k but will then easily cover 150k miles and if the correct and best quality parts, ARP studs and such are used they can cover more than 200k with only regular service needed
Great car.
So happy that you still love the 911 David and happy I sold it to someone who loves it. Was that really that long ago you got it from me?
Was? My fatass WB with under 50k miles still is, always will be! Lets Go!
I have owned probably 2 dozen 356, 912 and 911's including a 1982 930 Turbo up to a 1987 Carrera Targa, Guards Red of course. Loved them all but NONE of them had decent a/c or any kind of decent heat or windshield defrost capability short of killing me with carbon monoxide and even then you couldn't get windows to clear up or have decent heat on a very cold morning and once I hit a deep water puddle in the rain and the whole inside of the car instantly filled with fog, insane. The G50 of the 1987 Carrera was like shifting in molasses when very cold, much worse than the 915 transaxle.
